Euro-Q-Exa starts at LRZ
The first European quantum computer from the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking in Germany starts operation at the LRZ. The system has 54 qubits and will be supplemented by an additional system with 150 qubits by end of 2026. It is also connected to the LRZ supercomputer. Euro-Q-Exa will be made available to European researchers and is intended to promote technical independence in quantum computing.

Workshops & Training
At the LRZ, you can learn how to use supercomputers and quantum computers as well as artificial intelligence (AI) methods. LRZ specialists and experts from other research institutions will explain important techniques or how to optimise codes and algorithms in online courses and on-site at the LRZ.
Research projects at LRZ
We research the latest computer and storage technologies as well as internet tools. Together with partners, we develop technologies for future computing, energy-efficient computing and IT security, as well as tools for data analytics and the development of artificial intelligence systems amongst others.
