Open Lab Day 2025: Linked Dimensions

Under the motto “Linked Dimensions,” we are once again inviting you to Open Lab Day at our Centre for Virtual Reality and Visualisation (V2C) in 2025.

The focus will be on work by students from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (LMU) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM). During an internship, they gained in-depth experience in the development of interactive and immersive applications for VR installations such as the CAVE at the LRZ. From the conception of a project idea to the finished application, the students worked on every step themselves. In various projects, the young VR scientists now show us their creativity and skills.

Of course, the event will give you the opportunity to see the LRZ Cave and the student projects live, or to talk shop with our long-standing partners in the field of VR. We will also be offering tours of our supercomputer, SuperMUC-NG, on this evening.

Join us on December 10, 2025, starting at 5:30 p.m.
