Even “super brains” like our SuperMUC-NG sometimes face unsolvable problems. That's why our team is also working on quantum computers and trying to connect them to the supercomputer.
In a lecture, our head Prof. Dieter Kranzlmüller will discuss how quantum computers can be integrated into classic supercomputers and what technological advances such hybrid systems promise.
During the subsequent tour of the LRZ computer building, you will learn more about the complex infrastructure behind the operation of a supercomputer and see the SuperMUC-NG and real quantum computers up close.
Visit us on November 12, 2025, as part of the event series “MQV Insights – 100 Years of Quantum Science and What We Are Researching Today.”
The lecture at the LRZ begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends around 6:45 p.m. The subsequent tour ends around 8:00 p.m. The lecture room is wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, the tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Registration via Munich Quantum Valley is required for the event. The registration form can be found here.
