A sure and reliable prediction of two phase flow is essential to perform a safety analysis for the nuclear reactors in case of accident or in conditions out of the normal operation. In particular, condensation from steam-gas mixtures inside tubes is an important technical problem in the design of passive containment cooling systems. Given the rapid increase in computational ability of the modern computers, the implementation of methods to simulate two-phase flow phenomena with a CFD codes makes sense. This codes are used in a wide range of applications with very good results in terms of saving time and costs. They are not wet well tested and suitable to simulate two-phase flow conditions. The present work will try to test the actual limits and conditions of one of the most used CFD codes, CFX ANSYS, and will try to develop a computational method to be implemented in the program in order to improve the predicting capability of the code.
