Round-Table-Workshop: User requirements for SuperMUC Next Generation (SuperMUC-NG)

The LRZ is starting the process for procuring a suitable successor system for SuperMUC, "SuperMUC-NG", planned for 2018. Users of our most demanding projects have been contacted and asked to provide feedback about their codes, algorithms, supported platforms, compilers, libraries, memory and I/O requirements, including projections for the 2018-2020 time frame, and beyond.

We kindly invite all users of SuperMUC to come to this Round-Table Workshop, as it will give the opportunity to bring in their requirements, and discuss potential concepts of SuperMUC-NG with key LRZ personnel.

Preliminary schedule:

11:00 - 12:00  Presentation of the requirements and feedback from SuperMUC users
   12:00 - 12:30  Open discussion
   12:30 - 13:00  Lunch (provided by LRZ)
13:00 - 15:00  Presentation and discussion of the concept for SuperMUC-NG
                        (including coffee break)

It is essential for us to to have an open discussion with our users and understand the requirements for their further scientific research.
