Abstract
The research is focused on analysis of post-treatment changes of blood in cerebral aneurysms and developing a model for treatment prognosis. The local hemodynamics model is employed for a 3D simulation studies of the velocity field within the selected artery. Solving 3D Navier-Stokes equations requires are very computationally costly and requies high computational power. Moreover, for precise modeling of endovascular devices, such as flow-diverter stents, high mesh resolution is required to resolve all specific flow features in the disturbed flow regions. The research will contribute to understanding of fundamental causes of aneurysms growth and rupture and could improve the treatment strategy.
