Abstract
The CoReSim project concern large-scale simulations of neutron star mergers in general relativity. The ultimate goal of the research is to model the gravitational and electromagnetic signals from neutron star binary mergers using first-principles, 4D, nonlinear simulations and to support recent and upcoming multi-messenger observations. CoReSim is the German contribution to the CoRe collaboration, which is comprised of an international team currently led by the University of Jena working on several aspects of computational relativity.
