The SuperMUC-NG system is now up and running, and LRZ has started a ramp-up of allowing selected users to access the system for initial porting and execution of applications.
Independent from any allowances for computational resources, it is now also possible to transfer data from the old phase 2 system to SuperMUC-NG.
However, due to persisting stability issues, the reliability phase of the acceptance procedure has not yet been initiated. After the reliability test, the system will undergo a phase of energy calibration during which no user access will be possible. Therefore, general user operation is delayed, and is not expected to start before end of May, 2019.
