In collaboration with the Regional Computing Centre Erlangen (RRZE), LRZ is offering a basic and an advanced parallel programming course in March 2018:
Parallel Programming of High Performance Systems @ RRZE
Date: Monday, March 12 - Friday, March 16, 2018, 9:00-18:00

Topics: Basic parallel programming models, elements of MPI and OpenMP, processor architectures, principles of code optimization, advanced MPI and OpenMP programming, parallel architectures and algorithms, basics of software engineering, performance analysis tools, source code versioning with SVN & GitLab, make and other tools.
PRACE PATC Course: Advanced Topics in High Performance Computing
Date: Monday, March 26 - Thursday, March 29, 2018, 9:00-17:00
Lecturers: Dr. R. Bader, Dr. S. Mendez, Dr. V. Weinberg (LRZ), Dr.-Ing. J. Eitzinger, Dr. M. Wittmann (RRZE)
Topics: Processor-specific optimisation, parallel I/O with MPI I/O, tuning of I/O on LRZ's HPC systems, I/O libraries, Intel Xeon Phi programming, PGAS programming.
