PQMethod FORTRAN Source Code

The PQMethod FORTRAN77 source code can be compiled with the GNU Fortran compilers, G77 and GFORTRAN, which are available for DOS, Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and some other platforms.

I stilled used the old G77 (available up to GCC release 3.4.6) because in GFORTRAN the getarc intrinsic has changed and does not provide the information required for determining the location of the PQMethod executable path.

Note that PQMethod looks for environment variables EDITOR and VIEWER. The 'viewer' program can be any pager or editor that allows for multiple files.

The zipped source file is in MS-DOS/Windows text format.

PQROT Source Code

PQROT is an add-on program for performing graphical factor rotation with PQMethod. It was programmed in Turbo Pascal (for MS-DOS) by Andreas Zollorsch years ago, but nowadays Windows versions Vista and 7 do not allow to run this DOS code any more. Although Andreas Zollorsch also created a source code version in free pascal that would allow the creation of  executables for all major operating systems, I only recently noticed that this code really works.

The download package contains source code as well as the executable, pqrot.exe, for Windows.

Instructions: The *.chr and *.bgi files must be in the same directory where you locate the executable (pqrot.exe). After PQROT has opened the graphic window you must bring the console window to the foreground, otherwise hitting the required keys has no effect.

I hope somebody might have the expertise and patience to improve this software.
