Williams" <williams@rosat.mpe-garching.mpg.de> To: German American Friendship Club <gaf@lists.lrz-muenchen.de> This coming Sunday, at precisely eight-o-clock Eastern Standard Time, the eyes of approximately 20 billion viewers world-wide will turn to their televisions to watch the Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots face off in the most spectacular spectacle of all times (or at least since the Summer Olympics), Superbowl XXXI. Rumors have it that this year's Half Time show features the entire cast of Braveheart (extras included) as well as the first Space Shuttle launch from inside a domed stadium. Seriously, though... This coming Sunday, 26 January, beginning at 9 PM (21 Uhr), a Superbowl party will take place at my apartment (address below). If you don't feel like staying for the game (which starts at 2.00 Monday morning and will last about 4 hours), you are welcome to come for the pregame celebration. Unfortunately, we cannot be too noisy, especially considering the time of day, and I cannot allow any uninvited guests, because my apartment is rather small (about 12 square meters). In spite of all this, there will be plenty of food, including a homemade giant sub sandwich. The details are summarized below. Please let me know if you are coming no later than 12 noon on Friday. WHAT: SUPERBOWL XXXI party WHEN: Sunday 26 January 1997 at 9PM WHERE: Apartment of Kurtis Williams (Helene-Mayer-Ring 7 #A1107) - Take the U3 to Olympiazentrum and look for the Hochhaus nearest the station. Enter the right-hand side of the building and take the lift to the 11th floor. WHAT TO BRING: Snack food. Bring your choice of potato chips, cola/pop/soda, beer, dessert.
